Support Groups:

Group therapy offers a powerful opportunity to connect, reflect, and grow in a supportive, shared space with others who may be navigating similar challenges. Facilitated in a confidential and compassionate environment.

Each group is a safe, judgment-free space and guided by trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches like ACT, DBT, and mindfulness.

Through shared stories; supportive reflection; awareness, kindness, and connection, we can begin to transform suffering into growth and reclaim the wholeness that has always been within us.

All support groups at The Peace Place are personally facilitated by me. With training and experience in mental health, I bring a trauma-informed approach to every group I hold. This means I am mindful of how past experiences can shape present struggles, and I strive to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and supportive.

Being trauma-informed means:

  • Prioritizing safety and trust so you can share at your own pace.

  • Honoring your voice and choices in the group process.

  • Encouraging connection and empowerment, rather than focusing on being “fixed.”

  • Holding space with sensitivity and compassion, so you feel truly seen and heard.

My role is to gently guide the group while allowing you to find your own strength and healing, supported by the presence of others walking a similar path.

Format & Access

  • Groups are conducted online via secure video platforms

  • Each group runs for a set number of weekly sessions (typically 4-6 weeks)

  • Group size is kept small and intimate to ensure personal attention and safety

Who Can Join

Groups are open to adults (18+) of all genders and backgrounds. Some groups may have specific focuses or eligibility criteria (e.g. women-only spaces, trauma-focused groups). A brief pre-group screening call may be required to ensure the group is a good fit for your needs.

We honor your strength, even when choices feel limited.

  3. The Resilience Journey: Thriving despite an Autoimmune Condition

A supportive space for those navigating life with invisible pain and chronic fatigue. Here, your struggles are seen, your voice is heard, and your resilience is honored.

We share, connect, and uplift—because living with an autoimmune condition shouldn’t mean suffering in silence.

  4. Healing Hearts: Grief of a Parent

Losing a parent changes us in ways words often cannot capture. This group offers a safe, supportive space to share memories, navigate the waves of grief, and find strength in the company of others who understand this unique loss. Together, we hold space for healing, honoring both love and sorrow.

  5. Love & Loss: Grief of a Loved One

Whether it is a partner, sibling, child, or dear friend, the grief of losing someone we love can feel isolating. This group invites you to connect with others who are navigating similar pain, offering comfort, companionship, and gentle encouragement as you learn to live with loss while keeping love alive.

  6. New Beginnings: Healing After Relationship Loss

The end of a relationship can leave us with grief that is often unseen or unspoken. This group creates a supportive environment to process heartbreak, rediscover self-worth, and begin to rebuild. Here, you are reminded that endings can also hold space for new beginnings.

  7. Strong & Supported: Single Mothers’ Circle

Raising a child alone can be both deeply rewarding and profoundly challenging. This group offers a circle of understanding, encouragement, and shared wisdom, where single mothers can connect, uplift one another, and remind themselves they are not alone on this journey.

  8. Compassion in Care: Support for Caregivers

Caring for a loved one can be a beautiful act of devotion, but it can also bring exhaustion, stress, and feelings of isolation. This group provides a nurturing space for caregivers to rest, share, and replenish their own emotional well-being — because caring for yourself is part of caring for others.

Together, we find strength in community, and hope in each other!!
